Azurite and chrysocolla
Aggregate of very flattened lenticular crystals of deep color, with a curious coating that, when analyzed, turned out to be a melange of clay, chalky powder and some kind of submicrocrystalline copper phosphate.

This is such a stunning specimen. Azurite is definitely my favourite mineral. It’s a carbonate which is found a lot of the time with my other favourite mineral, Malachite.
I have this tendency of always find myself acquiring more Azurite than I actually need. It’s one of those minerals where I go, “Hmm, I could get this really beautiful Labradorite specimen… or I could get yet another piece of Azurite. Yep, Azurite it is!”
